THE 2009 CARAVAN EXTRAVAGANZA WEEKEND

The first public showing of caravans for 2009 from the majority of the UK’s manufacturers. Over 160 touring caravans and more than 170 caravan holiday-homes, lodges and park homes will be on view.

CARAVAN HOLIDAY-HOME (“static”) marques:
Advent, Atlas, BK Bluebird, Carnaby, Cosalt, Omar, Pemberton, Swift, Tingdene, Willerby.

PARK HOME (“mobile home” or “residential”) manufacturers:
Cosalt, Country Homes, Lissett, Pathfinder, Omar, Stately-Albion, Tingdene, Wessex.

More than 30 other companies will display products and feature services ranging from awnings to verandas, finance and insurance. The list includes: AB Rooms, Black Horse Caravan Finance, Bonus Accessories, Breakaway Homes, Bruton Solutions, Bulldog Security Products, Calor, Caravan Guard Insurance, Cara-Veranda, Carefree Lifestyle, Catalyst Computer Systems, Costa del Paradise, A. S. Folding Bikes, Brian Leighton Garages, Vale Park Homes, D & J Leisure Services, Fitrite, Gardner of Wakefield (Bags 4 Everything), HAPPE, Lambar Design Partnership, LB Plastics, Leisure Home Sales, Leisure Parks Security, Mayfield Group, North Dales, PAL Group, Playdale Playgrounds, Powrwheel, Riverside Motors, RoyScot Larch, Sunnydecks, Truma UK, Towergate Bakers, and Vinyl Solutions.

Awnings will be displayed by Blue Diamond, Bradcot, CGI Camping (Apache), Isabella, Unipart and Walker.

The two national trade associations – the British Holiday Home Parks Association and the National Caravan Council – will have stands.

The huge accessory shop in The Lawns Centre will again be run by Catterick Caravan and Camping Centre.

Caravan dealers with their own stands will include: Kenmore, Wandahome, Waudby’s Caravan Centre and Yorkshire Coast Caravans.

The Camping and Caravanning Club (Yorkshire Region) and Yorkshire Friends Ralliers will be in attendance.

Attractions will include a bouncy castle, face painting and balloon modellers for children, plus a strolling jazz band and a brass band. There will be ice cream vans, hamburger and refreshment stalls; and meals will be available in The Lawns Centre where there will be a bar.

St John Ambulance, the RNLI and a number of other charities will have fund-raising stalls, and the Police Crime Prevention Unit will be open to visitors throughout the show.

Opening hours: from 10am to 5pm each day.
Admission is £3 per person; £7 per family (or a carload)

CAR PARKING IS FREE
The car parking areas will be open from 8.15 am; admission to the showground will not be permitted prior to 9.45 am
