Hull Optimists Swimming Club
Hull Optimists are a swimming club for people with special needs. This
may be a physical disability or health problem, a fear of water, or just a
failure to learn to swim by traditional methods. We meet at Frederick Holmes
special school two evenings a week, from 6pm to 8pm. To enable us to help other
people we need help.
On Monday and Thursday evenings we need somebody to take the register
and carry out other administrative tasks. On Monday evenings we need a second
person to supervise the pool sessions. Responsibilities of the pool session
supervisor includes making equipment available as required, operating equipment
such as the hoist, and tape recorder, and maintaining records of achievement as
required.
No experience is necessary, as full training will be given, however a
willingness to use a computer is preferred for the administrative volunteer. We
will provide a CRB check free of charge.
