International superstar

helps local sight loss charity

International singing superstar Boy George and his Culture Club bandmates have signed a unique B-Rude Unions Jack spider web hat designed by Kevin O’Dowd and donated it to local charity Sight Support Hull and East Yorkshire.

The charity has now decided to raffle of this unique prize to help raise funds to continue providing its vital support services to thousands of local people who are blind or partially sighted.

“We are totally overwhelmed by George, the band’s and Kevin at B-Rude’s generosity.” said Angela Gregory, Sight Support’s Fundraising Manager. “This is such a unique gift and an amazing opportunity for us to raise funds that we have decided to offer it as a raffle prize rather than an auction. This way it makes the prize achievable for more people, at the same time as raising money for the charity too. If you’re a fan this is a one-of-a-kind prize!”

The legendary Boy George along with his Culture Club band recently performed at the Bonus Arena as part of an 11-date UK arena tour. Since their inception in 1981  Culture Club have had a stream of classic hits including; ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’, ‘Karma Chameleon’, ‘Church Of The Poison Mind’, ‘Victims’, ‘It’s A Miracle’ and ‘The War Song’. Boy George is universally loved as one of music's most iconic artists.

Tickets are £2 each and available online at: www.jumblebee.co.uk/BoyGeorgeHat.

The draw closes at midnight on 31st December 2018.
